Muscular strength & Range of Movement
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
This class is recommended for people with little to no experience with Pilates. The focus is on learning the basic principles, breathing, abdominal muscle isolation and control, and basic muscle group awareness.
A fusion of yoga, Pilates, and sports conditioning. Bring a yoga mat with you to class.
Learn the foundational postures of yoga. Extra time is spent on precise alignment, specific points of each posture, and breath.
This fluid practice of yoga synchronizes movement with breath. Be prepared to journey through multiple postures. Knowledge of Sun Salutations helpful (Chair pose, Updog, Downdog, Warrior I, etc…) This style of yoga raises core body temperature. Bring a towel because you will likely sweat!
This type of yoga is high energy and faster paced than most yoga practices. It improves physical and mental stamina, strength, and endurance. Intended for those with a regular asana practice, not appropriate for beginners.
